About The Owner

Miranda Burgoine is the founder and operator of The Eternal Vase. After studying commerce at university and being dissatisfied with her chosen path, she actively began searching for a more creative career option. She went on to study floristry at Box Hill Institute and completed a 3 year apprenticeship in 2 years being awarded apprentice of the year twice. During this time she actively involved herself in floral competitions, exhibitions and participated in the Melbourne International Flower and Garden show two years in a row doing large floral displays and demonstrations.

After working in numerous stores selling a variety of fresh flowers,faux flowers and homewares, she not only developed her skills, but discovered a passion for all forms of decorating.This extended beyond her initial interest in just fresh flowers. Miranda started her first business venture as a freelance wedding florist working from home. When Miranda and her husband moved to Bendigo for a change of pace she discovered many fresh florists but saw a possible niche in quality artificial flowers. The Eternal Vase is a culmination of Miranda's passion for flowers, colour and decorating and the overall dream of providing great service to Bendigo, her new home town!
